User resistance can reveal a delivery gap before it becomes an adoption problem.

ENGLISH User resistance can reveal a delivery gap before it becomes an adoption problem. When users hesitate, the cause may be an unclear purpose, additional workload, late involvement, unsuitable guidance or unresolved constraints involving systems, data or access. A Senior Business Analyst should examine: • Do users understand why the change is necessary? • Does the new process make daily work more difficult? • Were users involved early enough? • Do training and guidance reflect real tasks? • Are technical or operational constraints still unresolved? • Who owns the feedback and final decision? Listening helps distinguish personal preference from genuine operational risk. Across international organizations and regulated life-sciences environments, I have supported users through requirements, testing, documentation, training, issue resolution and adoption. This experience has taught me that a technically correct solution can still struggle when users do not understand its purpose or cannot recognize their working reality in the solution. Useful feedback should lead to clearer requirements, better decisions, accountable actions and stronger change support. For me, resistance is an early signal for deeper analysis.
